MITAI was born as a startup ministry in a startup republic—agile, mission-driven, and designed to break old silos. Our goal is not only to adopt new technologies, but to reinvent how the state serves its people, how opportunities are created, and how talent thrives.

MEET THE MINISTER

Dr. Kamal Shehadi is Lebanon’s Minister of State for Technology and Artificial Intelligence and Minister of the Displaced. A Harvard graduate with a PhD from Columbia University, Dr. Shehadi has held leadership roles in telecom, public policy, and international organizations. He previously served as Group Chief Strategy Officer at e&, chaired the GSMA Policy Committee, and led Lebanon’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority. His career reflects a lifelong commitment to innovation, transparency, and public service.
